Recovery rigging

The force a pull will actually see, and whether the weakest rated component in your system covers it.

Planning aid only. Every component must carry a stamped rating you have read yourself, and this uses working load limit — never minimum breaking strength. If a rating is unknown, do not use the component.

Each roughly doubles pull and halves line speed.

  • Grade (%), optional — Uphill positive. Leave blank for level.
  • Snatch blocks in the system, optional — Each roughly doubles pull and halves line speed.
  • Winch rated line pull (lb), optional
  • Strap / rope WLL (lb), optional
  • Shackle WLL (lb), optional
  • Recovery point WLL (lb), optional
